Thanks for trying out the rules. It was a small java based app. It was her laptop first and I have had to debug this sucker a few times from the crap she downloaded. From what I can see you have unticked some items in msconfig, but they were not malware related, so we don't need to worry about them.

I don't know where it came from. If the A/V scan didn't solve your problem, it is obvious that it is not nastie that is causing the problem.
