Advertisements do not imply our endorsement of that product or service. NEVER buy a maxtor hard drive. Data can only be recovered with special programs like the ones I mentioned. bassfisher6522 replied Feb 11, 2017 at 2:43 AM Loading...
FAT12/16/32, NTFS, and DOS Partitions all have the same signature value, which is 0x55AA in the last two bytes of the first sector (there are also several data structures within FAT32 Wondering where to from here? Bad sectors are a possible indication that the hard drive...on which the file system is placed...may be contributing to the file system errors detected by the chkdsk command. - I thought it was gone forever.
- Then I bought the PRO-licence and I recovered the same amount of GBs in hours!!
- I appreciate all the hard work that's gone into making this program and wish you all the best.”Mr J Billingham“It really took my breath.
- It WILL find LOTS of glitches and will repair them all, and it WILL take long (I think it reconstructs the entire MFT or something).
- So I guess I'm asking what and where do you look Brian?
- When i tried Partition find and mount and could read my files again i stayed so happy that in the same time i bought the pro version, thanks sirs.
- Not the recovery console but Enter to install.

I did get a notebook in with the exact same symptom. Is that even a function Windows XP has? And all of the files were exactly 1,472kB in size. No, create an account now.

Thank you so much, very impressive piece of software!!!!”Mark Berry“I have no other word but "Thank You so so so much!" for Partition Find and Mount. The PC was originally built by a local system builder who is now out of business so no way of going back to the source. Thank you for creating it.”Robert D.“Partition Find and Mount is wonderful.
I became extremely happy!
Again, I appreciate your help. Id expect that magic would be part of the root > directory. In my case windows recognized the disk but told me it wasn't formatted. After that not-so-good experience with Recover My Files I tried Partition Find And Mount.

I was reinstalling WinXP on my sons computer and left the ext backup drive hooked to it. My 250GB of data just got converted to FAT. I noticed it before I formatted it, and luckily found Find & Mount. Is it possible file system was changed from FAT32 to NTFS or vice versa by fixboot/fixmbr attempts noted previously?
