So I removed everything including the mobo and cpu, put it all back to together and nothing. It took a few seconds for me to mention - long enough though to fry something on the mainboard resulting in the backlight not working anymore.

I did I cleaned the thermal paste off the CPU and used the thermal paste provided by corsair on the cooler.
