Did you try to re-install Windows instead of trying a system recover? I have no idea if it's in the same place in VISTA. If it isn't broke, tweak it. i load windows in normal mode...and 30 secs -1 min later it just freezes on loading things...
But if you have the Windows installation DVD choose the CD/DVD (non UEFI) then. Can windows 7 help me? I also cannot find the so called backups in Windows Explorer in My Documents folder.
Or do you have the XP Disks?As a last resort you could reinstall Windows after backing up your personal data. help please!! Coupla' things to try. It is one of the best malware removal programs out there.

Went to add/remove windows updates and the window update that was done today was not there... check my blog Please try the request again. As gunner says, scanning with either feature of CCleaner doesn't involve the removal of software. or Ccleaner?
