You might also try a different CD ROM. Download File I386 For Window Xp It has happened to me. Error: Installation Failed:\I386\asms.
Sometimes you can copy the entire disk to your hard drive and run setup from there - that may be worth a try. Spoke to a few folks and apparently SP1 doesn't support my motherboard, so I needed to get an SP2 CD. Please try the request again.
